Carey Maust
OTR/L
Occupational Therapy
Carey is an occupational therapist specialized in working with children in the school system. She is particularly passionate about sensory processing integration and working to improve their fine and gross motor skills. She loves seeing them conquer each new milestone and goal as they grow to become more comfortable in the world around them.
Carey received her national board certification in 2018 after earning her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Before going back to school for her OT degree, she worked as a behavior interventionist in both school and home settings for nine years. She has worked with children of all age ranges and with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, ADHD, developmental disorders, and other health impairments.
Carey is passionate and enthusiastic about play-based and data-driven occupational therapy treatments. Her philosophy for working with her clients is to make each session so engaging, silly, and fun that they don’t realize they are working on skills that are currently challenging for them.
In addition to her Master’s in Occupational Therapy, Carey has also received additional training in the Size Matters Handwriting Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Regulation and Yoga tools, keyboarding, and assistive technology.
Kate Schwartz
Occupational Therapy
Kate received her master’s in occupational therapy from the University of Puget Sound and has been practicing since 2013. She has worked in a variety of settings with both children and adults including hospitals, mental health facilities, outpatient clinics, and schools in areas including daily life skills, handwriting, fine motor, gross motor and sensory integration skills. In 2020, Kate had the opportunity to start working in a virtual setting which allowed for a greater reach in providing therapy to kids in their own home environment. After welcoming a child in 2021, Kate recognized the importance of utilizing a holistic therapeutic approach that considers the needs of all in the family, with a focus on emotional regulation skills. She values using a strengths-based and neurodivergent-affirming approach. She is thrilled to work with your family!
