Nikki has a doctorate degree in occupational therapy and over a decade of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics, homes, and telehealth. She is currently a school-based therapist for LAUSD and has a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent children, particularly those with autism and ADHD. As someone who is autistic and has ADHD herself, she brings a unique, firsthand perspective to her work, fostering a strengths-based and neurodiversity affirming approach for the children and families she serves.
Before becoming an occupational therapist, Nikki worked as an elementary school teacher in both general and special education settings, further shaping her expertise in child development and learning differences. She also worked for a startup company designing robotic technologies to help children build social and emotional skills.
Nikki believes in play-based, engaging, and research-driven therapy techniques to help children develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive. She is passionate about helping kids discover who they are, embrace their strengths, and grow into the best versions of themselves. She has specialized training in Handwriting Without Tears, sensory regulation and praxis, and various social skills programs, all of which she integrates into her individualized therapy sessions.
